21 June,2025 11:45 AM ISTPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually flagged off Uttarakhand's first semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express train connecting Dehradun with the national capital New Delhi. The state's first Vande Bharat is scheduled to depart from Dehradun at 07:00 am and will reach Delhi's Anand Vihar terminal at 11:45 am, while it would depart from Anand Vihar at 05:50 pm, and arrive at Dehradun by 10:35 pm. During the journey, it will stop at Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee, and Haridwar. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on May 25 along with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express.
25 May,2023 01:16 PM IST | MumbaiStar India batter Rishabh Pant was airlifted to Mumbai from a Dehradun hospital on Wednesday evening for the treatment of ligament injuries in the knee and ankle he has suffered in a car crash. Pant (25), who was injured in a car crash on December 30, was taken to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in suburban Andheri upon arrival here, sources said. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to shift Pant to Mumbai by air ambulance as he was not in a position to fly by a commercial airline. The cricketer will be treated by noted sports orthopaedic surgeon Dinshaw Pardiwala here. Pant survived a horrific car accident when he was driving from Delhi to his hometown Rourkee but lost control on the NH-58 highway before hitting the divider.

Rishabh Pant got severely injured in a road accident near his hometown Roorkee. He was hospitalized after surviving a fatal accident. According to eyewitnesses, Rishabh's car collided with the divider and caught fire. The doctors said Pant suffered injuries to his forehead, back and leg. The batsman was alone in the car at the time of the accident, and according to Uttarakhand Police Director General Ashok Kumar, he broke the windscreen to get out of the burning car. Pant was not included in either the ODI or the T20I squad and the BCCI media release didn't clarify if he was injured, rested or dropped. The wicketkeeper-batter didn't feature in the ODIs in Bangladesh as well before returning for the two-match Test series.
