Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed and vehicles plunged into the river on Mar 26 after a ship collided with one of the pillars. Daylight drone visuals showed the extent of damage the bridge suffered sending cars and people into the river. Following the incident, US Secretary of Transportation emphasised that the path to normalcy after the bridge collapse would not be easy. Meanwhile, locals recalled the moment of collapse and one of them said the noise was felt in the house. The Maryland state police on March 27 informed that six people who were missing after the bridge collapsed incident have been presumed dead. The ship was identified as a Singapore-flagged container ship, the Dali which was bound for Sri Lanka.

Maharastra CM Eknath Shinde on 11th March inaugurated the first phase of the Mumbai Coastal road between Worli and Marine drive in South Mumbai. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar and other dignitaries were also present at the event. Let us tell you that the work on the ambitious project started on October 13, 2018 and is built at a cost of Rs 13, 983 crores. The high speed corridor stretches for 10.58 km between Marine Drive and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL). After today's inauguration, a 9.5 km-long stretch would be made operational. ‘Sudarshan Setu’, India’s longest cable-stayed bridge in Gujarat was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25. The Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, also called the Sudarshan Setu spanning 2.5 kilometres, holds immense significance for both residents and pilgrims visiting the revered Dwarkadhish Temple. Initiated by the Centre in 2017 with a groundbreaking ceremony, the bridge aims to simplify access for devotees commuting between Okha and Bet Dwarka. Before its construction, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach the Dwarkadhish Temple in Beyt, Dwarka. The 2.5 km bridge has been built for Rs 978 crore which is set to give a major infrastructure boost in the region.
