Further crediting the country’s growth to its 3Ds- democracy, demography of young population and demand, the Union Minister said that India will emerge as a developed nation in the next 25 years. “It is an important day for Indian international image. This day will be remembered for long for India’s development pace under PM Modi. Today, India is entirely different than what it was in 2013. India has rapidly moved forward with its 3Ds; democracy, demography of young population and demand. In the next 25 years, India will emerge as a developed country,” Goyal said. The Finance Minister took a digital tablet, wrapped in a traditional ‘bahi-khata’ pouch. Sitharaman, India's first full-time woman Finance Minister, ditched the colonial legacy of Budget briefcase and carried a digital tablet, starting from 2019. Union budget 2023-24 will also be paperless like the previous ones. Prime Minister Modi, along with other cabinet ministers also arrived in the parliament ahead of the union budget 2023. This is the FMs fifth straight Budget presentation, which will also be the last for the current Narendra Modi government ahead of the 2024 general elections.
