17 July,2017 04:12 PM ISTWhile people across the nation are celebrating ‘Raksha Bandhan’ today, residents of Mumbai were seen troubled as they faced inconveniences due to the indefinite strike called by BEST Workers' Union in the city. Commuters were seen stranded on bus stands for hours, waiting to board buses for their destinations, but the wait turned in vain. Workers of the BEST are demanding hike in their salaries. They have also demanded that their wages be paid by 10th of every month. A commuter urged the administration to resolve the matter and provide solutions to the public at the earliest. The BEST Workers' Union had on Sunday threatened to go on a strike, if the Mumbai Corporation did not render a written acceptance of their demands
