Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari's brother Afzal Ansari on March 30 alleged the Uttar Pradesh government of killing his brother with poison. The launch of ISRO's meteorological satellite INSAT-3DS, aiming to enhance meteorological observations and help in better weather forecasting and disaster warning, is scheduled for February 17.Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in a post on X on Thursday said that the satellite will be launched onboard a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle F14 (GSLV F14)."The launch of the GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS mission is set for Saturday, February 17, at 5:30pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR at Sriharikota," ISRO said.In August ISRO had launched successfully launched Chandrayaan-3, for this achievement ISRO was feted with the prestigious Leif Erikson Lunar Prize by the Husavik Museum. In last month January, the Indian Space Research Organisation had injected the Aditya-L1 Solar Mission into its designated orbit.

Over a crore school student, parents and teachers have so far registered for the 7th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC) 2024, on the MyGov portal. The registration process began on December 11, 2023, and the last date to apply for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ 2024 is January 12, 2024. PM Modi conceptualised this interactive program – ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ (PPC) - wherein students, parents, and teachers from across the nation and also from overseas interact with him to discuss anxieties related to examinations and life after school. This event was organised successfully for the last six years by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education. This year, the program will be held on Jan 29, 2024, from 11 am onwards in a town-hall format at Bharat Mandapam. Nearly 4,000 participants will be interacting with the Prime Minister in the program. ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is part of the larger movement ‘Exam Warriors’ led by PM Modi, to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters.

Following months of wrestlers’ protests against the then Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, Sanjay Singh, aide of Brij Bhushan, was elected as the new president on Dec 21. Meanwhile, the protesting wrestlers were extremely unhappy with the appointment of the new chief. Expressing displeasure over his appointment, Indian wrestler Sakshee Malik broke down and declared ‘quitting’ from wrestling.
