Angola’s President Joao Lourenço recieves a ceremonial welcome in Delhi

In a historic diplomatic move, India rolled out the red carpet for President Joao Lourenço of Angola. Lourenço began his state visit to India with a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan, attended by President Droupadi Murmu and PM Modi. President of Angola, Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco said "This State visit is taking place after 38 years. We see this visit as an important one for Angola, in order to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.  We are very thankful for the friendly and hospitable manner in which we were received yesterday by the people of India."
