Cast, crew wax eloquent on upcoming film ‘Dry Day’

The star cast of the upcoming movie ‘Dry Day’ spoke about the film in an exclusive interview. The Writer and Director of the movie Saurabh Shukla spoke about the message of the film and said that the story revolves around alcoholism and its effects on individuals. “This film is about alcoholism. It is the addiction of alcohol. That’s why the name of the film is apt since we all know if alcoholism increases, it gets out of hand,” said Saurabh Shukla. The main cast, Jitendra Kumar and Shriya Pilgaonkar spoke on their experiences of working under the direction of their friend and actor, Saurabh Shukla. “... Whenever you work with senior actors or directors it’s a star-stuck moment for some time but then you carry on with your work,” said Jitendra Kumar. “I am grateful that I got this chance to work in this film... I got to learn a lot of things while working on this project. I thoroughly enjoyed my work,” said Shriya Pilgaonkar.

Chandrayaan-3: Rover Pragyan in sleep mode, expected to ‘wake up’ on Sep. 22

Chandrayaan-3’s rover Pragyan has been put into sleep mode now as it completed all its assignments. The rover has traversed over 100 metres on the Moon’s surface and now has been parked safely. ISRO on September 02 informed that the APXS and LIBS payloads have been turned off. 11 days ago, India scripted history after Lander Vikram’s safe ‘touchdown’ on Moon’s South Pole. Since then, Rover Pragyan and Lander Vikram have carried out several operations on the Moon’s surface. The temperature profile of the lunar topsoil was checked to understand the thermal behaviour of the Moon. After the success of the lunar mission, India has continued its space exploration with its solar mission Aditya-L1. On Sept 02, ISRO successfully launched its much-anticipated ‘Aditya-L1’ mission to the Sun from Satish Dhawan Space Centre.

Chandrayaan-3: NASA, Putin congratulate India on Chandryaan's successful landing

India on August 23 scripted history by becoming the first country to successfully soft-land on the moon's south pole. Following the landing, congratulations poured in from all across the world including major space giants NASA and the UK Space Agency were among the ones who congratulated India immediately after it landed on the moon. Taking to X Handle, NASA’s Bill Nelson said that “We are glad to be your partner on this mission!”. The UK Space Agency was also quick to congratulate India for the historic achievement. In a statement, Anu Ojha said that “Chandrayaan-3 on the moon is further evidence that we are living in a new space age”. Meanwhile, congratulations also poured in from Russian President Vladimir Putin and his minister Sergey Lavrov. With this success, India has become the fourth country- after the US, China and Russia – to have successfully landed on the moon’s surface. India has also earned a place in record books as the first to touchdown on the south side of Earth’s only natural satellite.

India finally made it to the moon with success of its third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 on August 23. It has become the first country in the world to land its spacecraft on the south pole of the moon. In a historic feat, the nation is also the fourth country in history to land on Earth’s natural satellite. Vikram Lander of Chandrayaan-3 successfully managed a soft landing on the moon’s surface. Adding a feather to India’s success, the Ch-3 Rover ramped down from the Lander and took a walk on the moon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended congratulations on the momentous occasion. Elated by ISRO’s achievement, people across India were in the festive mood.
