The US military has carried out another lethal strike against a suspected drug-trafficking vessel in the Caribbean, killing four people, according to US Southern Command. The US military said intelligence had identified the vessel as being actively involved in narcotrafficking and described those killed as “narco-terrorists.” The latest operation is part of the Trump administration’s wider campaign against suspected drug-trafficking vessels in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific.

Fresh tensions have emerged between Iran and Israel after the IRGC claimed it foiled an alleged terror plot before the suspected attackers could carry out an operation in southeastern Iran. According to Iranian authorities, security forces intercepted an armed group that allegedly entered Iran from a neighbouring country carrying weapons and ammunition intended for a planned attack. The IRGC says two alleged ringleaders were killed during the operation, while the remaining suspects were either arrested or neutralised before the alleged plot could be executed. WATCH
