Vande Bharat train makes emergency stop after iron rods, stones spotted on track

In a shocking incident, the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat train was stopped at Rajasthan’s Gangarar in Chittaurgarh district. The emergency stoppage was made after iron rods and ballasts were found placed on the railway tracks. Notably, incidents of vandalism of Vande Bharat Express trains have come from several states since the first train was flagged off.

Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar on February 16 arrived at Suva Airport. Jaishankar met the President of Fiji Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere and Attended the commissioning of Solar Panel Event. While delivering a joint statement with the Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka in Suva, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed honour to have partnered the island nation in its national building. “India and Fiji have close and long-standing ties and a large part of that is built on our people-to-people linkages. We've been privileged to partner Fiji in its nation-building efforts across various sectors in working with it in capacity building in health, education, agriculture,” said the EAM on February 16.
