Amid the Bihar political crisis, as Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Bihar’s Chief Minister dissolving the current government that was formed through an alliance with the Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge reacted to the same. On the other hand, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde said that all the the NDA government in Bihar is being formed for the welfare of the people. Union Minister and BJP MP Giriraj Singh thanked Nitish Kumar for resigning. Post Nitish Kumar Resignation, all MLAs unanimously passed the proposal to form the NDA government in Bihar with BJP, JD(U) and other NDA allies for the welfare of the people in the state. Samrat Chaudhary has been elected as the Leader of the legislative party, Vijay Sinha elected as the Deputy Leader.

A huge accident involving seven to eight vehicles happened on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. According to the media reports, at least six persons have been injured in the accident. The reports stated that seven to eight different vehicles collided with each other on the Mumbai Pune Expressway leading to a pile-up. The accident took place near the Khopoli exit on the Mumbai-bound lane of the expressway. The exact cause behind the accident is not yet known.

After a row erupted over the opening of the emergency exit door of an IndiGo aircraft by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai who was also onboard at the time of the incident, has said that Surya "accidentally touched the emergency door" but it was not his fault that the flight got delayed. Annamalai’s comments a day after Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the emergency exit door of an IndiGo flight last year was opened by "mistake".
