ISRO launched 2nd Gen Navigational satellite GSLV-F12 from Sriharikota, AP on May 29. GSLV mission designed to deploy the NVS-01 navigation satellite into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. NVS-01 is the first of 2nd gen satellites envisaged for Navigation with Indian Constellation services. This satellite will provide real-time services over India and will enhance monitoring and navigation. For the first time, an indigenous atomic clock will be flown in NVS-01.

Multiple race-winner and veritable legend David Coulthard drove the championship-winning car – the RB7 - on the streets of Bandra. Along with the live demo of the RB7 with Coulthard, the showrun also had a bike stunt riding showcase featuring Arunas ‘Aras’ Gibieza. The track picked for this year's event is the iconic Bandra Bandstand, right in front of Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan's residence. Mumbai Traffic Police on Saturday issued traffic diversions and a list of alternate routes ahead of Formula 1 Show Run Project event in Bandra. This isn’t the first time that Red Bull has brought its showrun to India. Its last appearance in the country was at the Hyderabad showrun in 2015. Earlier versions of the showrun were held on Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli Sea Link in 2009, and on the streets of Delhi in 2011.

He was addressing an event organised by the Indian American Community in Washington. "It’s a relationship that has neither ended up serving Pakistan well nor serving the American interests," Jaishankar said at an event organized by the Indian American community in Washington. Dr Jaishankar made this remark after the External Affairs Minister was questioned by one of the audiences on the US decision on the F-16 package for Pakistan.
26 September,2022 02:05 PM IST | MumbaiIn a bid to further strengthen operational preparedness, India is expected to allow defence forces to acquire critical equipment under emergency acquisition powers. Under this, Indian forces can acquire any new or in-service equipment on fast-track basis without the MoD's approval. The grant of emergency acquisition powers to forces is expected to come after a high-level Defence Ministry meeting. The meeting will be held on Monday. The powers were first granted to Indian forces post-Uri surgical strikes in 2016. It has helped to tackle the military standoff with China. In the previous approvals, Indian forces had power to sign deals for equipment worth Rs 300 crore. The products are expected to be delivered within a period of three months to one year. Earlier, Indian forces acquired these equipment on a fast-track basis. 'Heron' unmanned aerial vehicles have now been deployed in Ladakh as well as in northeast. 'HAMMER' missiles can hit hardened ground attack-guide bunkers from a long distance. 'Sig Sauer' assault rifles have been inducted into all three forces now. Spike Anti-tank guided missiles. Indian forces will now acquire both indigenous as well as foreign manufactured products.
