US President Donald Trump has announced the declassification of intelligence documents that he says reveal major vulnerabilities in the US election system. Speaking from the White House, Trump alleged that China obtained data linked to 220 million American voters, including names, addresses, phone numbers and political affiliations. Trump also repeated his claim that the 2020 US presidential election was stolen, while directing the FBI and the Director of National Intelligence to investigate the allegations. He said future US elections remain vulnerable without major reforms.

Deadly shooting outside the Islamic Center of San Diego has left three people dead after two teenage gunmen opened fire near the mosque complex in California. Victims included a security guard who police say may have prevented an even deadlier mass shooting inside the mosque. Authorities later found the two suspects dead from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Investigators are now examining possible anti-Islamic writings recovered from the suspects’ vehicle, while the Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined the investigation into a possible hate crime.
