Kannada actors Harshika Poonacha and her husband Bhuvann Ponnanna were reportedly attacked by a mob in Bengaluru for speaking in Kannada. As per Harshika, the miscreants harassed the couple and also tried to rob them. She shared her incident on her social media handle and asked "How safe are they in Bangalore?" Speaking exclusively with ANI, the couple shared the horror experience they went through. She shared a video of the incident on Facebook. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his latest interview with the US-based Magazine ‘Newsweek’ talked about the India-China relations. PM Modi stressed the ‘prolonged situation’ on the disputed India-China border should be discussed ‘urgently’ to normalize the bilateral ties. The PM emphasized that the stable and peaceful relations between India and China are important for the entire region and world. PM Modi on the topic of competing with China highlighted that the country has an edge when being pitted against China which is currently engulfed in economic woes. Reacting to this, China also ‘noted’ PM Modi's remarks on the border ties between the two countries. Chinese spokesperson Mao Ning said that ‘sound and stable’ ties would serve the interests of both countries. Meanwhile, Congress also reacted to PM Modi’s interview with the magazine and said that the PM has crossed "all limits of cowardice". A private screening of the film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' was organised at the YRF studio on Wednesday evening. The makers and a few other celebrities were seen at the intimate screening. While Tiger Shroff, who is one of the leads alongside Akshay Kumar, made an appearance, Disha Patani too was seen at the screening. Noida Police arrested YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav on March 17. He was produced at the Districts and Sessions Court, Surajpur, in the snake venom rave party case. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 Winner had been reprimanded to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with a case under the wildlife protection act, 1972. Elvish Yadav was one of the 6 individuals named in an FIR filed at sector 49 police station on 3rd November, 2023. A group of people allegedly attacked foreign students in one of the hostels of Gujarat University Ahmedabad on March 16. Police informed that the scuffle broke out as the foreign students were offering Namaz in the hostel premises. Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Gyanendra Singh Malik informed that stones were pelted and some hostel rooms were damaged. “Around 300 foreign students study here in Gujarat University. Some of them are from African nations, some are from Sri Lanka, some from Afghanistan. In the A block of the hostel, around 75 students live. Some were offering Namaz around 10:30 pm yesterday. Some 20-25 men came and asked them why are they offering Namaz here and it should be done in Masjid. On this, a heated argument and scuffle broke out. Stones were pelted, rooms were damaged. Police immediately responded and FIR was lodged. Strict action will be taken against persons involved. One person is identified. Rest will also be identified soon. The law and order situation here is under control,” he informed.
