Each year the festival of Makar Sankranti brings with itself the promise of auspicious beginnings as the sun enters into the northern hemisphere. However, when it comes to birds, the story is quite the opposite. As kites will take over the sky on the day of Makar Sankranti 2024, what comes next is life-threatening cases of birds being injured by sharp threads of kites. While most of us enjoy this day with our family and friends flying kites and enjoying sweets, a section of volunteers get on their toes to save the birds who have been found hanging from the kite threads fighting for their lives. PM Modi piloted a drone and dedicated the grand G20 venue ‘International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre’ (IECC) to the nation on July 26. PM Modi’s vision of having a world-class infrastructure for hosting meetings, conferences and exhibitions in the country has led to the conceptualization of the IECC at Pragati Maidan. The project, which revamped Pragati Maidan was developed as a National project at a cost of about Rs 2700 crore. The IECC complex comprises multiple state-of-the-art facilities including a Convention Centre, Exhibition halls, and Amphitheatres. The development of the new IECC complex at Pragati Maidan will help in the promotion of India as a global business destination. IAF’s fighter aircraft Su-30MKI recently displayed its might over the Indian Ocean Region. The flanker carried out eight-hour-long missions in the Indian Ocean Region on a different axis. A major drama unfolded on Thursday at Delhi Airport in front of an IndiGo plane that a Congress delegation was about to board to reach Raipur. As Congress leader Pawan Khera was reportedly deboarded from the plane, the entire delegation started 'BJP hai hai' slogans.
