Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also attended the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal with wife Anjali Tendulkar. Lalbaugcha Raja is one of the most visited Ganesh pandals in the world. A unique system called 'ATM- Any Time Modak' was created by a resident of Pune on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The inventor, Sanjiv Kulkarni installed a Ganesh Idol inside an ATM Machine to complete the look. Speaking on his creation, Sanjiv Kulkarni said, "It is ATM-Any Time Modak. You'll get a modak through this ATM on inserting a special card. It was an attempt to move forward with technology and culture together." The machine is technically built in a way that one needs to insert a card made especially by Kulkarni to get the Prasad in form of 'Modak'

Lalbaugcha Raja is the most famous Ganesha in Mumbai and is the most visited Ganpati Pandal in the world. Millions of people visit this Ganesha every day during the 11-day festival. Formerly known as 'Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal’, it was founded in 1934. Lalbaugcha Raja is also known as Navsacha Ganpati – the fulfiller of all wishes. In 2018, Lalbaugcha Raja will complete its 85th year. Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 13 this year.
