The war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group continues to spiral with no ceasefire in sight. Israel geared up for a possible all-out ground assault on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip amid the Israel-Hamas conflict . In retaliation to the Hamas attack, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed vengeance and said that Israel will turn Hamas into “rubble”. Giving a warning to the residents of Gaza, Netanyahu said that they would operate forcefully everywhere. The Islamist group Hamas took Israel by surprise earlier on October 07 with one of the biggest attacks in decades. Israel witnessed a sudden assault by gunmen who crossed into Israeli villages, bringing hostages back into the Gaza Strip. According to Reuters, at least 250 Israelis were killed and 900 were injured. Over 230 Gazans were also killed when Israel responded with retaliatory strikes. Israel responded with massive air strikes deep inside the coastal enclave, killing scores and wounding hundreds. The Western Nations have extended support to Israel including the US, the UK, France.

After Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L-1 missions, ISRO is gearing up for Mission Gaganyaan. Gaganyaan is India’s first Human space flight mission aiming for safe transportation of astronauts to space and back. Now, ISRO is preparing for the Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1) for Mission Gaganyaan. The test will also demonstrate the performance of the Crew Escape System. The first Crew Module for Gaganyaan test flight has taken its shape now. The Crew Module is where the astronauts are contained in a pressurized earthlike atmospheric condition. The last mission of ISRO was the solar mission Aditya-L1. ISRO launched its maiden solar mission ‘Aditya-L1’ on September 02 to study the Sun from point L1. The satellite will travel approximately 15 million km to reach the L1 point. Also, India successfully conducted Chandrayaan-3 mission when Vikram made a soft landing on South Pole of the Moon.

After the historic success of ‘Chandrayaan-3’ and ‘Aditya-L1’ Missions, ISRO continuing its space odyssey and is all set to launch the ‘Gaganyaan-1’ project. CTTC Bhubaneswar has almost completed the manufacturing of Precision tools and components for the project. CTTC Bhubaneswar also manufactured a large number of Precision tools and components for the ‘Chandrayaan-3’. With never rest attitude, ISRO is continuing to show its prowess in the space sector. For the ‘Gaganyaan-1’, a team of more than 120 Engineers and technicians manufactured the component for the Mission.

Delhi will soon host the much anticipated G20 Summit. No stone is being left unturned to prepare Delhi for the upcoming event. The international guests are set to arrive soon, staff of luxury hotels is working tirelessly to ensure their stay is ‘homely’. Special attention is being given to the cuisine, with over 120 chefs working at the Taj Hotel alone. A menu with over 500 dishes is being prepared with a number of fusion dishes. The Taj has added some millet-based dishes to the menu in line with 2023 being International Year of Millets. Over 30 luxury hotels will host the delegates during the course of the Summit in Delhi. Notably, the summit will be held on Sept 09 and Sept 10. India's presidency of the G-20 began on 1 December 2022 when it took over from Indonesia in Bali.

After the second day of the opposition meeting in Bengaluru on July 18, the Opposition parties decided to name their alliance I-N-D-I-A (Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance). Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge briefed ‘I-N-D-I-A’ and said, “All parties are happy with this name”. Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP and said, “The fight is against BJP and its ideology. This fight is between India and Narendra Modi”. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee challenged NDA-led Govt and said, “Can you challenge I-N-D-I-A?". Thereafter, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “We have gathered here not for ourselves but to save the country from hatred”. Earlier today, several Opposition leaders also shared tweets, indicating that such a name was being considered. Taking to Twitter, Congress Lok Sabha MP Manickam Tagore said, “INDIA will win”. Taking to Twitter, TMC MP Derek O'Brien wrote, “Chak De! INDIA”. 26 like-minded parties met in Bengaluru to discuss a united strategy to take on the ruling BJP in 2024 LS polls. UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, President Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the 2nd Opposition meeting in Bengaluru. Prominent leaders such as Mamata Banerjee, Mehbooba Mufti, Arvind Kejriwal and Nitish Kumar were also present at the meeting. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar who skipped the meeting on the first day, arrived at the venue to attend the second-day of the meeting. As per reports, the Opposition parties may discuss the issue of EVM and suggest reforms to the Election Commission.
