External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on April 04 said that one of the biggest achievement of Modi-Government is that it has carried out rescue operations abroad numerous times. “Many Indians live outside India… they travel outside India, they study outside India… In few years we had big challenges… There was a war in Ukraine…War between Israel and Gaza… there is civil war in Sudan… We have had many times to do rescue operations… One of the Modi-Government is that we tell every Indian to feel safe when outside because we are there for you,” said EAM S Jaishankar.

Talking about ex-Navy men released from Qatar, Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai said that it is a victory for PM Modi. He also praised PM Modi’s diplomatic relationship and said Modi diplomacy is world class after Indian Navy veterans were released from the Qatar Death penalty and returned back to India. “The Modi diplomacy is world-class. Yesterday we have seen eight sailors returned from Qatar, who were sentenced to death sentence, without a scratch. That is a victory for Narendra Modi ji and External Affairs Ministry under S Jaishankar. The old India can never do this. The new India is doing this. Also, the fishermen released from Sri Lankan prison landed in Chennai.,” said Annamalai.

As many as eight former Indian Navy personnel were released from Qatar on February 12. The Qatar authorities had announced their verdict of death sentence to the Indian men as they were charged of espionage. On Feb 12, seven of the eight Ex-Indian Navy veterans landed in Delhi and they hailed PM Modi for his intervention. India’s Ministry of External Affairs has received praise for the diplomatic victory in Qatar. Even Pakistani political expert hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing back former Navy veterans after being released from the Qatar Death Penalty. Pakistani political analyst Dr Qamar Cheema uploaded a video on his YouTube channel with a title “Modi Magic Worked in Qatar”. Notably, PM Modi met with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the sidelines of COP 28 Summit in Dubai. Navy veterans who returned from Qatar also hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his personal intervention.

On the murder of a four-year-old boy allegedly by his mother in Goa, cab driver Rayjohn D'Souza says, "She (accused Suchana Seth) remained quiet during the entire journey... I received call from the Goa Police and the police informed me that bloodstains were found in Suchana's room and suspected the missing child. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Varanasi, his convoy stopped to give way to an ambulance. This is not the first time Prime Minister stopped the convoy to let an emergency vehicle overtake his cavalcade. Last year, PM’s convoy was stopped to make way for ambulance while he was en route Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad. PM Modi arrived in his Parliamentary constituency on December 17 to inaugurate development projects. While giving an update on the ongoing operation to rescue labourers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi following the Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse, Additional Secretary Technical of Road and Transport Mahmood Ahmed on November 21 said that they will be able to provide some more good information in the next 30 to 40 hours. “We have gathered multiple agencies. We are coordinating with them. Each agency has been assigned a specific task... Our team is monitoring everything so that coordination between all agencies is maintained... We are taking all possible contributions from the army, BRO and other agencies ... the district administration is cooperating with us... NDRF and SDRF are also working. We are making constant efforts to rescue our workers trapped inside,” said Mahmood Ahmed. “First, the NHIDCL has ensured the facility of oxygen supply, food, water or medicine. There are lights and an electricity supply inside...There is a place up to 2km inside as the tunnel was already built... From the 4-inch pipeline, we were sending dry fruits and other eatables... Through the 6-inch pipeline, we sent a walkie-talkie inside and established communication... We also got a video showing that all of them are in good mental and physical health. We may able to provide some more good information in the next 30 to 40 hours,” he added.

While speaking to the media on Kerala blasts, Kerala Health Minister Veena George informed that 3 people were killed and several people were severely injured. People were coming to the casualty ward, around 60 people sought treatment from different hospitals, and one was brought dead. Furthermore, she added that the priority at present is to save lives and that maximum support is being given.
