The injured are being treated in the hospital...More than 50,000 people participate in the Jatra every year. This is an unfortunate incident. PM Modi called me and enquired about the incident. He also assured to provide assistance from the Centre. We are taking care of the treatment of the injured...SP North and the Collector are conducting an investigation of the incident...We are cancelling all Govt programs for the next 3 days in the state..."

A shocking incident of robbery has come to light from Vasai in which a jeweller was robbed at gunpoint. The incident occurred on Friday night as thieves looted 50 tolas of gold, worth approximately â‚ą40 lakhs, from Mayank Jewellers located in Kaul Heritage City’s - Agarwal & Doshi Complex in Vasai at around 9:15 PM. The shop owner, Ratanlalji Sanghvi, was in the process of closing the store and securing jewellery in the locker when two men arrived on a motorbike. Speaking about the incident, Ratanlalji’s younger son, Abhilesh Sanghvi, said, “We are cooperating with the police and are hopeful for a quick resolution to this unfortunate incident.”
