The Gamdevi police rescued seven bar girls who were hidden in a cavity inside Sandeep Palace Bar in Grant road in Mumbai on 29th September 2018. It was a late night raid conducted by DCP Shivdeep Lande and the police arrested 12 customers, 5 waiters, one cashier and a manager in this case. The Social Service Branch of the Mumbai Police raided four dance bars for operating without permission under the new state legislation last evening. During the raid, which is reported to last for more than two hours, 60 women were rescued and 75 people, including bar owners, managers and customers have been booked.
