We went on a trip with Grassroutes, an organisation that seeks to connect the urban dweller with the rural community. Destination: Walvanda, a Warli village near Jawhar. Things we did: learn the Warli art, their traditional Tarpa dance, went stargazing and trekking and participated in village activites like chopping firewood. The video is made by UnLTD India that funds start-up social enterprises, and gives you a brief about what Grassroutes is all about.

Lower Parel's Mexican restaurant Xico has introduced grasshoppers in its menu and it is definitely the only restaurant with this unique food in Mumbai. Chef Jason Hudanish talks about these grasshoppers which are most commonly eaten in Mexico as an appetizer. Chef Jason says that grasshoppers are the most popular snack in Mexico. They are abundantly available at both upscale restaurants as well as street joints, and eaten as appetizers. The grasshoppers at Xico have been imported from Miami.
