Delhi-NCR is facing another spell of intense rain after Monday's widespread weather chaos, with the IMD issuing a red alert as heavy showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds continue. The latest downpour has triggered fresh waterlogging and traffic disruption, while school buses were reportedly stranded in floodwater in Gurugram, leaving children stuck for hours and parents worried. Key parts of Delhi have also been hit by waterlogging, including areas around AIIMS, ITO, Connaught Place, RK Puram and Parliament Street.

Delhi witnessed its heaviest spell of monsoon rain as overnight showers flooded roads, triggered massive traffic jams and disrupted normal life across the capital. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert, warning of more heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning. Several parts of Delhi, including Dwarka, Greater Kailash, Munirka, Badarpur and Sadar Bazar, reported severe waterlogging. Major routes such as Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, NH-48 and the Delhi-Noida Expressway witnessed long traffic snarls. The heavy rain also turned deadly after an under-construction building collapsed in Rohini, killing three people.
