On 27th of February, Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) which is situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He was accompanied by Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman S Somanath. The visit includes inaugurating key space facilities, reviewing the Gaganyaan Mission, and launching initiatives to support MSMEs in the automotive sector. Tension gripped in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur after some youth allegedly posted objectionable posts on social media with a reference to Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan. Section 144 has been imposed in Kolhapur on June 08 following the reports of violence in the city. The internet services have also been suspended. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Kerala's first Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod at Thiruvananthapuram Central Station on April 25. According to Prime Minister's Office, the Vande Bharat train will cover 11 districts namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod. Vande Bharat Express is an indigenously manufactured, semi-high speed and self-propelled train set. The train is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities, providing passengers with a faster, more comfortable and more convenient travel experience. Prime Minister Modi, who will be on a visit to Kerala on April 25, will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects worth more than Rs 3,200 crore.
