Sadhguru discharged from Delhi hospital after undergoing brain surgery

Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was discharged from Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi on March 27. He underwent emergency brain surgery after suffering life-threatening bleeding in the skull on March 17. He experienced severe headaches for a few weeks before undergoing the surgery, according to Isha Foundation. In a video clip, the spiritual Guru was seen coming out of the hospital as his followers greeted him. Sadhguru has suffered multiple bleedings in the brain before being hospitalised. Sadhguru, who is 66 years old and the founder of the Isha Foundation, has launched campaigns like ‘Save Soil’ and ‘Rally for Rivers’ for environmental conservation. Watch video.

Covid JN.1 variant: Jammu hospitals prepare to fight against new variant

As the Union Health Ministry has sounded a new alert for COVID-19, preparations to fight against the disease have been started in Jammu. In Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital, one of the major hospitals in the region, a COVID ward has been set up.  The centre has further directed the states to monitor the occurrence of the respiratory diseases district-wise. Corona cases have started increasing once again in India. Currently, the number of active Corona patients in the entire country has reached 2,311. Along with this, the threat of Covid JN.1 sub-variant is also being seen; its cases are being reported in the state of Kerala.

‘Aarogya Maitri Aid Cube’: India launches world’s first portable hospital

The World’s first portable hospital, ‘Aarogya Maitri Aid Cube’ was unveiled on December 02 in Gurugram. Designed indigenously under the Project ‘BHISHM’, it was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and jointly developed by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defence, and the National Security Council. This cube is tailored to treat up to 200 casualties, emphasizing rapid response and comprehensive care. In the face of mass casualty incidents (MCIs), where requirements range from basic aid to advanced medical and surgical care, the Aid Cube stands out with its ability to be deployed within 12 minutes. The portable hospital includes 72 detachable mini-cubes and these cubes can be converted into a surgical station that has all the facilities where small operating procedures can also be performed.  It can handle bullet injuries, burns, head, spinal and chest injuries, minor surgeries, fractures and major bleeding. These cubes are light and portable, and can be rapidly deployed anywhere, from airdrops to ground transportation. It represents a transformative leap in India’s humanitarian efforts and emergency response capabilities. Under this project, India has pledged to provide essential medical supplies to any developing country affected by natural disasters or humanitarian crises.
