On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.

In the ongoing investigations into the Salman Khan House firing incident, shocking details have emerged. A probe revealed that the shooters targeted Salman Khan during Eid at his Panvel farmhouse; but plan was foiled as Eid bash was cancelled due to a recent family wedding. The Mumbai Crime Branch recovered four magazines and 17 live rounds from Tapi River in Surat. In a shocking incident, two unidentified men opened fire outside actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra earlier this month. During investigations, the accused admitted to throwing the guns into the Tapi River in Gujarat's Surat after firing outside Salman's Galaxy Apartment home.

A major fire broke out at the Ghazipur landfill site in Delhi on April 21. The fire continued to blaze for 2nd day on April 22 despite massive operations by firefighters. As per Delhi Fire Service, the fire was caused by gas produced in the landfill. Smoke from the blazing landfill has created a blanket of haze in the surrounding area causing trouble for locals. The nearby locals blamed the Delhi Government for negligence. It is suspected that the fire broke out due to methane gas. The fire started by itself or was started by someone. In regards to the Hubbali murder case, Congress Corporator and father of the deceased, Niranjan Hiremath urged death penalty for the killer. Twenty-four-year-old daughter of a Congress corporator, who was stabbed to death by an unidentified person on a college campus in Hubbali was killed for turning down the accused's proposal, claimed the father of the deceased. The Congress government in Karnataka is under severe pressure on law and order in the state after the twenty-four-year-old daughter of a Congress corporator was stabbed to death on the college campus in Hubbali. The state unit of the ABVP and the BJP protested the murder in Hubballi and Bengaluru on Friday and the issue is likely to flare up with the state going to the Lok Sabha Polls on April 26 and May 7.

One of the largest operations carried out by security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker in which 29 Naxalites were gunned down and huge quantities of arms and ammunition were also recovered. On the Kanker encounter, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "Yesterday, security forces achieved great success in Chhattisgarh. Ever since Modi ji became the Prime Minister, the BJP government has launched a continuous campaign against Naxalism and terrorism.” IG Bastar P Sundarraj said, "Yesterday, an encounter broke out between security forces and Naxalites which lasted for around 4 hours. Teams of DRG and BSF cordoned off the area and as a result, 29 bodies of CPI Maoists were recovered, out of which 15 were female and 14 were male. Arms and ammunition were recovered in large quantities from the spot. The autopsy of bodies of the Maoists are underway."

On the occasion Of Ram Navami, Surya Abhishek of Lord Ram was performed for five minutes at 12:16 pm on April 17. Ramnavami, the birth festival of Lord Ram Lala, was celebrated at noon and various types of offerings were made to the Lord. 56 types of Bhog Prasad were given by the devotees today which was offered to the Lord today. Rescue and search is operation underway in Ganderbal Nowgam area of Srinagar. 3 people are still missing in the boat capsizing incident that occurred in the Jhelum River yesterday. According to DC Srinagar, Six bodies have been found so far. Officials said that the rescue operation continued till 11 pm last night but was halted due to darkness and heavy water flow in the river Jhelum. On 16th of April, in a tragic accident a boat carrying school children overturned in the Jhelum river in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Srinagar Administration had launched a rescue operation in the area. A State Disaster Response Force team was also deployed. At least six persons including four children were found dead. 4 bodies were recovered, while others were missing. Continuous rains over last two days led to an increase in the water levels of several water bodies, including Jhelum.
