Nearly 30 per cent of the estimated 30 million Punjabis settled abroad used illegal means to migrate to another country. A new immigration check point between India and Bangladesh is expected to boost trade and ties between the neighbours. The immigration centre would be inaugurated in Siliguri town on February 18.
