Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 21 attended Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav. On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 2550th Lord Mahavir Nirvana Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and along with this he wished the countrymen on Mahavir Jayanti. The PM said that Lord Mahavir's message of peace and goodwill is an inspiration for the country in building a 'developed India'. He said that this grand building of Bharat Mandapam is today witnessing the beginning of the 2,550th Nirvana Mahotsav of Lord Mahavir. While addressing the audience there, he also cracked a joke in a very light-hearted manner. His funny political joke left the audience laughing. As he made the funny political joke, the crowd burst into laughter and started clapping and chanting "Modi Modi". Watch video for more.

PM Modi praises India's Defence sector growth, calls it a monumental achievement

For the first time in the history of Independent India, defence exports touched a record Rs 21,083 crore in the financial year 2023-24. India’s defence exports saw a record growth of 32.5 pc over the last fiscal year when the figure was Rs 15,920 crore. The recent figures have indicated that the defence exports have grown by 31 times in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi called India’s defence sector growth a “monumental achievement”. The Prime Minister lauded the team’s hard work those who propelled India onto the global stage in defence. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh hailed PM Modi’s visionary leadership and congratulated all stakeholders. The defence industry, including private sector, has made tremendous efforts in achieving the highest-ever defence exports. The private sector and the DPSUs have contributed about 60 per cent and 40 per cent, respectively.

He handed over keys of food truck to the transgender community on March 28. “This Food Truck has been inaugurated for a very special and peculiar reason that is to encourage and include the trans community in the society. It's a small step, more people, opinion leaders like me who think about society and are sensitive towards it should come forward and help them. They (trans) are an invisible and underprivileged community in our country and this food truck is a kind of push to make them self-reliant and financially independent so that they can find a place in the society,” said Ayushmann Khurrana.

CM Eknath Shinde inaugurates first phase of Mumbai Coastal road

Maharastra CM Eknath Shinde on 11th March inaugurated the first phase of the Mumbai Coastal road between Worli and Marine drive in South Mumbai. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and  Ajit Pawar and other dignitaries were also present at the event. Let us tell you that the work on the ambitious project started on October 13, 2018 and is built at a cost of Rs  13, 983 crores. The high speed corridor stretches for 10.58 km between Marine Drive and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link (BWSL). After today's inauguration, a 9.5 km-long stretch would be made operational. Sudarshan Setu: Watch spectacular drone visuals of India’s longest cable-stayed

‘Sudarshan Setu’, India’s longest cable-stayed bridge in Gujarat was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25. The Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, also called the Sudarshan Setu spanning 2.5 kilometres, holds immense significance for both residents and pilgrims visiting the revered Dwarkadhish Temple. Initiated by the Centre in 2017 with a groundbreaking ceremony, the bridge aims to simplify access for devotees commuting between Okha and Bet Dwarka. Before its construction, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach the Dwarkadhish Temple in Beyt, Dwarka. The 2.5 km bridge has been built for Rs 978 crore which is set to give a major infrastructure boost in the region.

Sudarshan Setu: PM Modi to dedicate longest cable-stayed bridge to nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Sudarshan Setu to the nation which will connect Okha mainland to Beyt Dwarka island. It is built at a cost of around Rs 980 crores. It is the longest Cable-stayed bridge in the country of around 2.32 km. Sudarshan Setu boasts a unique design, featuring a footpath adorned with verses from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Bhagwan Krishna on both sides. It also has solar panels installed on the upper portions of the footpath, generating one megawatt of electricity. This bridge will ease the transportation and significantly reduce the time of devotees travelling between Dwarka and Beyt-Dwarka. Before the bridge’s construction, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach Beyt Dwarka. This iconic bridge will also serve as a major tourist attraction of Devbhumi Dwarka.

PM Modi inaugurated Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), also known as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu in Maharashtra. Atal Setu is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in the country. It will provide faster connectivity to Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport and will also reduce the travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India.
