”Taking a lead...": UK Parliamentarians laud India's rise, PM Modi's leadership

Indian Minorities Foundation in London organised 'Namaste London: Resurgence of a New India' to celebrate achievements of India under the leadership of PM Modi. The event not only acknowledged India's progress but also honoured significant contributions of Indian Diaspora to both their host and home countries. The event, attended by cross-party UK parliamentarians and diaspora leaders, included the UK launch of 'Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat@100'. Additionally, the book 'Heartfelt: The Legacy of Faith - Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sikhs' was unveiled, showcasing diverse dimensions of India's cultural tapestry. UK parliamentarians came together to heap praises on PM Modi, and also shared admiring words for their Indian friends. Meanwhile, Member of Parliament from Sutton and Cheam, Paul Stuart Scully, expressed his pride in relationship between UK and Indian families and communities. The Indian and US armies are braving the cold, defying the altitude of Alaska in the United States. The soldiers are practising high-angle rescue and casualty evacuation drills in sub-zero conditions during the exercise.

As many as 10,000 Indian Americans chanted Bhagavad Gita in the presence of spiritual saint Pujya Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swami at Allen East Center in Texas, USA on July 03. Around Ten thousand people gathered at Allen East Center in Texas and recited the Bhagavad Gita together on the occasion of Guru Purnima. This event was organised by Yoga Sangeeta and SGS Geeta Foundation as ‘Bhagavad Gita Parayan Yagya’.  Meanwhile, Saint Pujya Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swami is pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham at Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashrama in Mysore, India.

US Nominates Indian Origin Ajay Banga To Lead World Bank

The United States on Feb 23 nominated Indian-American Ajay Banga to lead the World Bank. Exuding confidence in Banga, President Biden announced that the White House is nominating ex-Mastercard CEO as World Bank head. The Indian-origin and Padma Awardee is currently serving as the vice-chairman at private equity firm General Atlantic. President Biden also said that Banga has a critical experience mobilizing public-private resources to tackle the challenges of current scenario. The decision came after David Malpass, the current President of the World Bank announced his plans to step down.

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar Responds To US F-16 Package For Pakist

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on September 25 raised questions about the "merits" of the US-Pakistan relationship and a relationship with Islamabad that has not served the 'American Interest'. He was addressing an event organised by the Indian American Community in Washington. "It’s a relationship that has neither ended up serving Pakistan well nor serving the American interests," Jaishankar said at an event organized by the Indian American community in Washington. Dr Jaishankar made this remark after the External Affairs Minister was questioned by one of the audiences on the US decision on the F-16 package for Pakistan.

This Is How Indian Americans And Indians In Russia Celebrated India's I-Day

Members of the Indian-American community in the Washington DC metro area hoisted the Indian National Flag at their homes to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence. India Day was celebrated in Moscow, Russia. This is the 7th time the festival has been held in Russia. According to the organisers, Moscow’s weather has never failed them: despite all forecasts, the sun always shines in the capital on India Day. There was an Indian bazaar with more than 120 stalls at the festival. Jewellery, spices, silk scarves, natural cosmetics and souvenirs, tea, and even furniture were showcased.
