The arrests followed two separate cyber fraud complaints registered at Kandivali police station involving residents who were allegedly tricked into downloading fake applications linked to gas meter services

The complainant told the police that his photograph appeared to have been taken from his Facebook account, while the mayor's photograph appeared to have been sourced from social media
