CM Yogi Adityanath attacks Rahul Gandhi’s “Raja, Maharaja” remarks

CM Yogi Adityanath attacks Rahul Gandhi’s “Raja, Maharaja” remarks

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his recent remarks about Indian heritage, particularly on Raja and Maharaja, stating that "accidental Hindus" like Gandhi cannot appreciate the rich traditions of India. He noted that people who are unfamiliar with the country's history and geography often make irrelevant statements. Reflecting on Gandhi's comments, Yogi Adityanath recalled that Gandhi once described himself as an "accidental Hindu." The Chief Minister emphasized that India has a diverse and vibrant heritage, with contributions from sages, Maharajas, and various segments of society. He also pointed out that Rahul Gandhi has seemingly overlooked the atrocities committed by the Mughals in their attempts to Islamize India. According to Yogi Adityanath, it's unfortunate that those who refer to themselves as "accidental Hindus" struggle to take pride in India's rich cultural legacy.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amit Shah Criticises Congress Manifesto

As the second phase of polling for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Home Minister Amit Shah made a scathing attack on the Congress party over its manifesto and questioned Rahul Gandhi, will the country run on Sharia Law? "...First of all, I would like to appeal to the voters to elect a party that stands on its words - for secure and prosperous country and welfare of the poor...After the Congress manifesto was released, people's inclination towards the BJP further increased because, in its manifesto, Congress has repeated its old habit of appeasement. Congress manifesto speaks of taking forward Personal Law. I would like to ask Rahul Gandhi; will this country now work as per Sharia?... Our Constitution is secular, laws of the land can't be formed on the basis of religion. BJP has clearly said in its manifesto that it will bring the Uniform Civil Code (UCC)...We scrapped Triple Talaq and started UCC & we will take this forward. Rahul Gandhi speaks of Personal Law, which is about dividing the country...Personal Laws can't be implemented in this country".

‘Inheritance tax’ remark: What is US Inheritance Law quoted by Sam Pitroda?

‘Inheritance tax’ remark: What is US Inheritance Law quoted by Sam Pitroda?

Talking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “wealth distribution” remark, Chairman of Indian Overseas Congress, Sam Pitroda on April 24 explained that when Congress talks about redistributing wealth, it means new policies and new programs that are in the interest of the people and not in the interest of super-rich only. "...In America, there is an inheritance tax. If one has $100 million worth of wealth and when he dies he can only transfer probably 45% to his children, 55% is grabbed by the government. That's an interesting law. It says you in your generation, made wealth and you are leaving now, you must leave your wealth for the public, not all of it, half of it, which to me sounds fair. In India, you don't have that. If somebody is worth 10 billion and he dies, his children get 10 billion and the public gets nothing...So these are the kind of issues people will have to debate and discuss. I don't know what the conclusion would be at the end of the day but when we talk about redistributing wealth, we are talking about new policies and new programs that are in the interest of the people and not in the interest of super-rich only," said Sam Pitroda.
