Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2016 was being held in Bengaluru on Saturday. In the auction, left-arm all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs. Seven crores. Pacer Ashish Nehra got richer by Rs. five and a half crores after joining SRH. Among the nine marquee players Kevin Pietersen, Ishant Sharma and Shane Watson have the highest base price of Rs two crores.

Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Rajeev Shukla said that following the Bombay High Court's order, the BCCI had planned to move all matches of its ongoing ninth season scheduled after April 30 out of western Maharashtra in view of severe water crisis in the region.
