AAP cadres staged a ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ campaign near Laxmi Nagar in Delhi on April 27. The campaign was held against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Notably, Delhi CM was arrested on March 21 by the ED in connection with a money laundering case in the alleged Delhi Excise policy scam. “CM Arvind Kejriwal who worked to provide the best school, and free- electricity to Delhiites has been trapped in a frivolous case by BJP...From today onwards Sunita Kejriwal's roadshow will begin; she is going to seek support and blessings from the Delhi people to fight against this government...,” said Kuldeep Kumar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 21 attended Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvan Mahotsav. On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 2550th Lord Mahavir Nirvana Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and along with this he wished the countrymen on Mahavir Jayanti. A bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the release of Sanjay Singh . Bail was granted during pendency of trial in a money laundering case relating to excise policy irregularities. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ahmedabad on April 02. While addressing the event, the External Affairs Minister categorically spoke about the India-China issues. He further hit out at India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru-led government and alleged that they made policies that favoured China more than India itself. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said, "In 1950, there was an exchange of views between Sardar Patel and (Jawaharlal) Nehru... Sardar Patel had warned Jawaharlal Nehru about China. Sardar Patel said that today we are facing a situation of two fronts (Pakistan and China), which for India has never happened in our history before. Sardar Patel also said that whatever the Chinese are saying, he feels that their intent is not good, and therefore, let us take precautions, and build a policy around this. Nehru's position was that he was completely dissenting. He replied to Patel that you are unnecessarily suspicious of the Chinese... After the death of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, Samajwadi Party leader and Mukhtar’s brother Afzal Ansari on March 31 accused the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh, the Police department of the state, and many other officials and leaders of being behind the planning of his brother’s death.
