Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the string of anti-Jewish protests by pro-Palestinians held across the world gained a major flash point on October 29. Scores of Pro-Palestinians carried Palestinian flag and chanted religious slogans at Dagestan Airport in Russia. The ‘angry’ crowd invaded the airport facility hunting for Jewish passengers, demonstrating against war in Gaza. Hundreds of protesters were seen entering the air terminal and then storming various rooms inside. The mob also scuffled with airport police and they reportedly blocked the runway and tried to overturn a police vehicle. Soon after the incident, Israel urged Russian authorities to protect Israelis and Jews in their jurisdictions. However, Russian Aviation Authority Rosaviatsia said that all "unauthorised citizens" had been removed from Makhachkala Airport. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy launched an attack on Russia over the incident.

A visit to India's only authentic kosher Jewish bakery at ORT India at Worli. Here, Sharon Galsurkar, head of the kitchen department, which includes manning the bakery operations, is explaining the restrictions related to kosher food. A Banana Walnut Cake is being made, which includes sifting of the maida flour by one of the bakery assistants Shifron; it has to be done carefully to ensure no insects are in the flour. Jews are forbidden to consume insects. About 25 minutes later, the cake is ready and removed from the oven by fellow assistant Amrita.
