A massive explosion has rocked the Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Russia’s Far East, leaving at least 7 people dead and more than 120 injured. The Russian-Chinese joint venture had been under construction for seven years and was designed to become one of the world’s largest polymer production facilities. The blast reportedly struck a methanol processing unit during the facility’s final pre-startup stage. Officials say the main equipment was not damaged and there is currently no threat to nearby residents. 

A tragic incident in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, has claimed the lives of three members of a family following a reported dispute over an iPhone EMI payment. Police said an 18-year-old and his parents were involved in a tragic sequence of events at Khavadya Hill. The parents had reportedly gone after their son in an attempt to save him. The family was reportedly facing financial difficulties, while the father worked as a driver. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
