Union Minister Nitin Gadkari during an event in Nagpur on March 23, asserted that BJP workers have a right over his political legacy. He also shared that his sons are not in politics. He also mentioned that he told his sons that if they want to join politics they should start from the ground level. Nitin Gadkari said, “I am confident that I will win this election by more than 5 lakh votes. You all have loved me, whatever work I have been able to do in the country is because of your love and support, whatever work I have, the credit for it goes to the party workers and the public.”“None of my sons are in politics. I told my sons that if they want to join politics, they should first paste posters on walls and work at the ground level. BJP workers have a right over my political legacy.”

Veteran Leader from the Congress party Baba Siddique on Feb 10 joined NCP in presence of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar .This came after he officially resigned from Congress putting an end to his 48 years of journey with the party. During his speech, he claimed that ‘perception politics’ was being done in Congress. Siddique, a former legislator from Bandra (west), is the second big face to quit the grand-old party before the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls. In January, Milind Deora exited from the party to join Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. In a tweet, he announced, "I joined the Indian National Congress party as a young teenager and it has been a significant journey lasting 48 years. Today I resign from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress Party with immediate effect."

Rubbishing speculations of quitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joining Congress, Pankaja Munde came down heavily on such reports and warned the channel of facing consequences for airing such news. “A few days back a news report came in that I met Rahul Gandhi & Sonia Gandhi twice and I am quitting BJP & joining Congress. Such news reports are absolutely false,” said Pankaja Munde in a press conference in Mumbai. “I swear that I have never spoken with any leader of any party regarding my entry into their party. I have never seen Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi in person...I am going to file a defamation case against the channel..." BJP national secretary added.
