Stressed due to family problems, a 43-year-old Pradeep Udayraj Upadhyay, a resident of Nalasopara jumped into Bhayandar creek on 25th November. He was rescued by PSI Yuvraj Shirsath and Havaldar Bhoye who were on patrolling duty.

Sarlaben Mehta (86) was born near Sabarmati Ashram in 1929. The Andheri (E) resident is the granddaughter of Pranjivan Mehta, friend and benefactor to Mahatma Gandhi. Sarlaben worked in Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) for 30 years after Gandhi passed away.

Air India crew members will now wear Khadi uniforms during flights after agreement between Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and AI. The maiden implementation was done for AI 001 flight which took Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ongoing foreign visit, where all flight crew wore Khadi uniforms.
