After the April 30 e-KYC deadline, nearly 65 lakh women have been removed from the Ladki Bahin scheme, bringing the beneficiary count down to around 1.81 crore. The government now plans to recover money from ineligible recipients wherever possible, while pending instalments for March and April are yet to be released
