Pappu’s Yadav merged his Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) with Congress on March 20 ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Jan Adhikar Party president lauded Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi while addressing a press conference in Delhi. Former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav arrived at the Bihar Assembly in Patna on February 12. Amid huddles and shifting of MLAs to secure locations in the state or beyond ahead of the crucial trust vote, both the JDU-NDA alliance and the RJD party claimed to have the majority. Janata Dal (United) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad on February 12 said that the NDA alliance will get the majority and the government will complete its tenure. RJD supporters gathered outside former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s residence and raised anti-Nitish slogans to extend their support to Tejashwi Yadav. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on the floor test in Bihar said, that when Palti Kumar (Nitish Kumar) is ruling and no one knows which way he will turn now.

Politics seems to be heating up in Bihar as 9-time CM Nitish Kumar led-Govt is ready to face floor test on Feb 12. RJD MLAs have been camping at former Bihar Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav’s residence in Patna since Feb 10. However, Congress MLAs have not been a part of the meeting as they left for Bihar from Hyderabad earlier in the day. Congress CLP leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan said that “Khela Hoga” ahead of the trust vote. Meanwhile, a day before the Bihar floor test, JD(U) leaders flocked to Finance Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary’s residence. Bihar CM and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar also attended the meeting ahead of the crucial floor test. BJP MLAs also left from Mahabodhi resort in Gaya to get ready for the trust vote and the party exuded confidence. RLJD Chief Upendra Kushwaha claimed that Tejashwi Yadav himself would be victim of “Khela”. Meanwhile, RJD has claimed that ‘Operation Lantern’ will outweigh ‘Op Kamal’ in Bihar, and ‘Khela Baaki Hai’.
