As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Varanasi, his convoy stopped to give way to an ambulance. This is not the first time Prime Minister stopped the convoy to let an emergency vehicle overtake his cavalcade. Last year, PM’s convoy was stopped to make way for ambulance while he was en route Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad. PM Modi arrived in his Parliamentary constituency on December 17 to inaugurate development projects. During his two-day visit, PM Modi in Varanasi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects worth over ₹19,150 crore. Earlier during the day, PM Modi visited Gujarat's Surat to inaugurate new Integrated Terminal Building of Surat Airport and Surat Diamond Bourse, the world’s largest and modern centre for international diamond and jewellery business.

The rescue operations at the Uttarkashi tunnel collapse site continued for Day 11 on Nov 22. No stone is being left unturned to evacuate 41 trapped labourers from inside the tunnel’s rubbles. Prepared for any undesired occurrence, 4 ambulances have been stationed at the operation site. 35-36 more ambulances are expected to reach the site soon. Mahmood Ahmed, Additional Secretary Technical, Road and Transport held a press conference and said, “An additional 800 mm pipe has also been pushed 21 metres inside the tunnel. Around 12:45 am, we started drilling through the auger machine and so far, we have pushed three more pipes...As long as we reach 45-50 metres inside the tunnel, we will not be able to give you the exact time. We are also doing horizontal drilling, we have entered around 8 metres from there as well.”

Tamil Nadu’s Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji was taken into custody by ED in the wee hours of June 14. A high-voltage drama was witnessed as the state minister was seen crying in pain after ED took him into custody. 22 years ago, a similar incident happened in Tamil Nadu when DMK chief M Karunanidhi was arrested. On June 30 2001, DMK founder Karunanidhi was arrested by the Tamil Nadu police. Then also, the high political drama was witnessed when Karunanidhi was also arrested in the wee hours. In a throwback video, Karunanidhi can be seen screaming as the police forcibly took him into custody.

Rekha Singh, widow of Galwan hero Naik Deepak Singh who was killed in Galwan Valley clashes has now become an army officer. Lieutenant Rekha Singh was commissioned into the army recently. Her husband, Naik Deepak Singh was martyred in action while fighting Chinese soldiers on June 15, 2020 in the Galwan Vallery. The attack had claimed the lives of 20 soldiers in 2020.
