Kannada Actor Harshika Poonacha & Husband Attacked By Mob In Bengaluru For Speak

Kannada actors Harshika Poonacha and her husband  Bhuvann Ponnanna were reportedly attacked by a mob in Bengaluru for speaking in Kannada. As per Harshika, the miscreants harassed the couple and also tried to rob them. She shared her incident on her social media handle and asked "How safe are they in Bangalore?" Speaking exclusively with ANI, the couple shared the horror experience they went through. She shared a video of the incident on Facebook. She also alleged that the police were reluctant to help when she reported the incident. Watch video for more.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Kashmiri Girl goes viral for singing Ram Bhajan

Jammu and Kashmir’s Batool Zehra, a first year college student from Uri has sung a Ram bhajan in Pahari language to connect J&K with Ayodhya Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, to be held on January 22 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking on viral video of singing Ram bhajan in Pahari language, Batool Zehra said, “I heard a song by Jubin Nautiyal and I liked it very much. I thought that if it can be in Hindi, why can it not be in Pahari. I wrote it in Pahari and sang it. I recorded it and showed it to my sir. He posted it and it got viral. Thanks to the LG (Manoj Sinha) it is because of him that negative things are being removed from people's minds. My Muslim brothers also appreciated me a lot. Our Imam gave a message that we should love the country in which we live. Shri Ram was called 'Purushottam' because of his honesty and his belief in justice.” Meanwhile, preparations are underway in full swing for the grand temple opening, which will draw dignitaries and people from all walks of life.

‘Depriving Poor Children Of Learning English’, Rahul Gandhi Attacks BJP

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked the BJP, alleging that the saffron party did not want the children of farmers and labourers to learn English and progress with the world. Speaking at a Bharat Jodo Yatra rally in Rajasthan’s Alwar, Rahul Gandhi said: “BJP leaders don't want English to be taught in schools.But children of all their leaders go to English-medium schools. Actually, they don't want children of poor farmers and labourers to learn English, dream big and get out of the fields.”  Furthermore, he emphasised the importance of the English language across the Globe.  “Wherever BJP leaders go, they talk against English. English should not be taught in schools. Sometimes you ask them in which school their son studies? All their children of CMs, MPs, MLAs go to English medium schools. They do not want the child of the poor of the country to learn English. I do not say that Hindi or other languages should not be learned, but if you want to talk to other countries of the world, then Hindi will not work there, only English will work,” he said.
