Another attack on Hindu Temple has made headlines in Australia. This time, it was Laxmi Narayan Temple in Australia’s Brisbane. Pro-Khalistan supporters were held responsible for this unlawful act. After Canada, the extremist group Khalistan raised alarm in Australia. Recently, the Shiva Vishnu Temple in Australia’s Carrum Downs was vandalized in January. The incident took place after devotees came for ‘darshan’ for the “Thai Pongal” festival, reported The Australia Today. On Jan 15, Khalistan supporters tried to draw support for their referendum through a car rally in Melbourne. India has raised this issue with the Australian govt and asked for an expeditious probe against perpetrators. Indian Consulate in Brisbane was also attacked days after EAM Jaishankar’s visit to Australia. Earlier, He raised alarm over the Khalistan issue and said that democratic freedom must not be misused. Lt Gen Retd. Kuldip Brar also warned about the rising footprint of Khalistan in foreign nations.
