Coastal Road In Mumbai Gets Connected To Bandra Worli Sea Link

BMC's Mumbai Coastal Road Project Arch String Girder (Bridge) was successfully installed on April 26. After a lot of anticipation finally, Mumbai Coastal Road Project and Bandra-Worli Sea Link got connected successfully. Earlier, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) allocated Rs 3200 crore for its ambitious Mumbai Coastal Road project in its 2022-23 budget. As per BMC data, the coastal road project got the highest share of budget allocation by BMC for the year 2022-23 at 17 per cent. This will benefit commuters, especially during peak hours in the morning and the evening when there's heavy traffic.  Speaking to ANI, General Manager Planning of Hindustan Construction Company, Pawan Padiyar said, “The Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also constructed by Hindustan Construction Company, one of the iconic project in Mumbai. We are glad this time also we have constructed this iconic bridge for costal road. It is also adjacent to Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It is changing the aesthetics of Mumbai.” He further informed about the materials that were used in constructing this massive bridge.

China ship in Mumbai: Indian agencies suspect nuclear link in Pak-bound ship

A Pakistan-bound ship coming from China was stopped at Mumbai by the Indian security agencies on March 02. The Karachi-bound ship was intercepted at Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva port. The vessel was suspected of carrying a consignment that could be used for Pakistan’s nuclear missile programmes. The ship was thoroughly examined by a team of Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The components in the cargo ship were primarily suspected of being used in Pak’s nuclear initiatives, specifically, in manufacturing some critical components for missile development. However, the DRDO is yet to submit its final report on the vessel stopped at the port.

The Committee on External Affairs highlighted that Pakistan’s ISI is providing a haven to terrorist outfits. ISI is Pakistan’s agency responsible for providing intelligence inputs to the country’s military. The report highlighted that terrorism in India is sponsored from across the border. The Committee on External Affairs presented their 28th report on ‘Countering Global Terrorism at Regional and International Levels’. The report emphasised an action plan and mechanism to root out terrorist networks in the neighbouring countries. For a long time, Pakistan has been accused of being a ‘terror hub’ and providing shelter to terror groups. India has strained ties with Pakistan because of its continuous infiltration attempts in Jammu & Kashmir. Post abrogation of Article 370, India-Pakistan relations have nosedived.

Constructed at the cost of Rs.18,000 crores, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), also known as Atal Setu was inaugurated today by PM Modi. An infrastructure marvel never seen before in India - now a reality for Mumbaikars. This 21.8-kilometre-long Mumbai Trans Harbour Link bridge would help cover the distance between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai in just 20 minutes which otherwise takes 2 hours. More than 5000 workers and engineers worked every day for the completion of the project since work began in mid-2018. Many of the workers and engineers had to take an hour-long boat ride every day to their work site. MTHL inauguration will take place today in Mumbai by PM Narendra Modi. In his speech, PM Modi in Navi Mumbai said that Atal Setu is the picture of developed India and this is a glimpse of what a developed India is going to be like. The PM Modi in Navi Mumbai also said, “Today's date is massive, not just for Mumbai and Maharashtra, but it also takes us a step closer to our resolution of Viksit Bharat.  It's a testament that we deliver on our promises. On 24 December 2016, I laid the foundation for the Atal Setu and vowed that Bharat will change and grow.”
