MoS Shobha Karandlaje and BJP Mahila Morcha held a protest against Hubbali murder case in Bengaluru. A candle march was taken out by the protestors in memory of Neha. Congress Councillor’s daughter Neha Hiremath (24) was stabbed to death on college premises by her classmate on April 18. Union Minister Shobha said, “Neha Hiremath's murder happened inside the college campus. State govt is not taking any action against him and they're trying to close this case. Because, Siddaramaiah is doing vote bank politics now, to make minorities happy and get their votes, govt is taking the murder of Neha Hiremath easy...”

Hubballi Murder Case: BJP President JP Nadda Meets Victim's Family

BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi visited the residence of Congress corporator Niranjan Hiremath in Hubbali on April 21. The Congress corporator’s daughter Neha Hiremathn (23) was stabbed to death by her college friend on April 18. Neha Hiremath’s parents expressed grief for the loss as the BJP leaders assured them justice. JP Nadda and Pralhad Joshi along with the family members paid respect to the late Neha Hiremath as they showered flowers on her picture. "This is a shocking incident and we condemn it... This murder is an attack on humanity. CM Siddaramaiah's & Home Minister G Parameshwara's statements on this incident are objectionable. Their statements dilute the investigation. The people of Karnataka will not spare the current govt for appeasement politics...State govt should hand over the case to CBI if State Police is incapable of carrying out a probe. Hiremath has also demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident as he has less faith in the State police," said JP Nadda.

Niranjan Hiramath, father of the 24-year-old girl, who was stabbed to death by an unidentified person on a college campus in Hubbali, said that the authorities’ inquiry has not been up to the mark in the case and demanded a CBI Probe into the case. Congress Councillor of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, Niranjan Hiremath said, "I have given the name of 8 people openly. They have not even caught one person. I am losing faith now. They are trying to divert my case. Give it to CBI if you cannot do it... The commissioner in this case is a lady, even then she is not taking a girl's murder seriously... She is working under some pressure... I demand the commissioner should be transferred for negligence in the case... I demand that the case should be given to CBI.”

BrahMos Missile: Indian Navy to buy 220 BrahMos extended-range missiles

The Cabinet Committee on Security has cleared the Indian Navy’s proposals to buy 220 BrahMos extended-range missiles for its warships. The contract will be signed on March 05 and 220 BrahMos will be worth around Rs 20,000 crore. The extended-range BrahMos is speculated to have an extended range of around 800 km. This would be a major ‘Make in India’ success for the missile system built with Russia’s partnership. India’s BrahMos is a universal long-range supersonic cruise missile system that can be launched from land, sea, and air. Not only to just Indian Navy, but the indigenous BrahMos missile system will also be exported to the Philippines. In January, DRDO Chief Dr Samir Kamat informed ANI about the export of India’s missile system to the Philippines.
