India has strongly responded to remarks by US Congressman Riley Moore over the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that legislation is India's internal matter and that Parliament alone will decide on domestic laws. The response came after Moore claimed the proposed amendments could affect churches and religious charities and become a point of concern in India-US relations.  

Sonam Wangchuk's indefinite hunger strike over the alleged NEET-UG examination irregularities has entered its 20th day, with doctors warning that his health has reached a critical stage. Medical teams report further weight loss and signs of mild dehydration as concerns over his condition continue to grow. Despite the health warnings, Wangchuk addressed supporters at Jantar Mantar, saying he intends to participate in the proposed July 20 Parliament march. The protest also received political backing, with Congress leader Pawan Khera visiting Wangchuk, while former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav also expressed solidarity in recent days.
