A woman died and 17 others were injured after the stage collapsed during Jagran ceremony at Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi on Jan 27. According to Delhi Police, no permission was granted to hold the event, however, sufficient staff was deployed to maintain law and order. As per the temple’s priest, renowned singers like B Praak, Kanhaiya Mittal were present. There was a huge crowd in a tightly-packed venue. The kalkaji mandir tragedy happened when scores of devotees climbed the main stage to catch a glimpse of Punjabi musician B Praak. All the injured were shifted to the city’s AIIMS Trauma Centre, Safdarjung Hospital and MAX Hospital.

He said that his head is in shame. Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar lost his cool over ‘serious misconduct’ by Derek O'Brien. Brien has been suspended for the remainder part of the Parliament Winter session. The incident happened while Opposition MP’s pressed for a discussion on the Parliament Security Breach and moved into the Well of the House. The severe cyclonic storm, Michaung with winds up to 100 kmph is currently making landfall close to Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh. Machilipatnam witnessed strong winds and rain under the effect of the Cyclone. The onset of the landfall of the severe cyclone Michaung commenced in the region spanning from Nellore to Kavali in Andhra Pradesh. The landfall process is likely to continue for the next couple of hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a red alert for coastal Andhra Pradesh. The severe cyclone left a trail of destruction in Tamil Nadu. In Chennai, houses and streets submerged and trees uprooted following heavy rainfall and strong winds.

A 17-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkar Nagar district was killed on Friday in an accident after two men on a motorcycle pulled her stole (dupatta) while she was riding home from school on a bicycle with her friend. The girl lost her balance, fell to the ground, and was then hit by another motorcycle coming from behind. She died on the spot, police said. The accident took place near Hirapur market in the Hanswar police station area of the district. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media. A day after the incident with the horrifying incident, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warned miscreants. He said, “If anyone tries to molest daughters, ‘Yamraj’ will be waiting for him”. Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh: Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Rai gave information about the incident.

ISRO is all set for the Lunar Orbit Injection (LOI) of ‘Chandrayaan-3’ on August 05 around IST 7 pm. ISRO informed that the spacecraft has completed approximately two-third of the journey to the moon. Earlier on Aug 05, ISRO successfully performed Trans Lunar Injection (TLI) to slingshot Chandrayaan-3 towards the Moon. ISRO injected the spacecraft into the translunar orbit from ISTRAC on August 01 in Bengaluru. Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft is continuing its circuitous journey to the Moon with a series of burns to raise its orbit. ISRO informed that the Lunar-Orbit Insertion (LOI) of Chandrayaan-3 is planned for Aug 5, 2023. The world witnessed the historic lift-off of Chandrayaan-3 on July 14. ISRO launched India’s third lunar exploration mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on July 14.
