On 20th of February, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ reached UP’s Raebareli. Congress and BJP workers confronted each other with loud slogans during the rally. During his speech, Rahul Gandhi made a derogatory remark that sparked controversy. While addressing the public in Amethi, he said that "the youths of UP were on a trip after boozing by night. I went to Varanasi and I saw people lying on roads drunk. Furious by his remark BJP workers purified Rahul Gandhi’s speech area with ‘Ganga Jal’. On the other hand, UP Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh lambasted Rahul Gandhi and also appealed to him to apologize. Meanwhile, agitated WCD Minister Smriti Irani raised questions on Congress MP’s upbringing. Notably, a massive protest was staged by BJP workers during his rally in Amethi too on Feb 19. Carrying Lord Rama’s flags, the workers raised ‘Modi-Modi’, ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and ‘Rahul Gandhi Go Back’ slogans.

PM Modi piloted a drone and dedicated the grand G20 venue ‘International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre’ (IECC) to the nation on July 26. PM Modi’s vision of having a world-class infrastructure for hosting meetings, conferences and exhibitions in the country has led to the conceptualization of the IECC at Pragati Maidan. The project, which revamped Pragati Maidan was developed as a National project at a cost of about Rs 2700 crore. The IECC complex comprises multiple state-of-the-art facilities including a Convention Centre, Exhibition halls, and Amphitheatres. The development of the new IECC complex at Pragati Maidan will help in the promotion of India as a global business destination. A major drama unfolded on Thursday at Delhi Airport in front of an IndiGo plane that a Congress delegation was about to board to reach Raipur. As Congress leader Pawan Khera was reportedly deboarded from the plane, the entire delegation started 'BJP hai hai' slogans.
