Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Sweden as part of his six-nation Europe-West Asia tour, receiving a grand cultural welcome and Sweden’s highest honour — the Royal Order of Polar Star. During his visit, Modi held high-level talks with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson focused on trade, defence, artificial intelligence, clean energy and emerging technologies. He also addressed top European industry leaders, pitching India as a global hub for innovation, manufacturing and investment. Modi highlighted the growing India-EU partnership and welcomed the progress on the landmark India-EU Free Trade Agreement. He urged European companies to “Design in India, Make in India and Export from India.”
