Saudi Arabia’s air defences have intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile targeting Khamis Mushait in southwestern Saudi Arabia, as missile and drone threats continue to fuel tensions along the Saudi-Yemen border. The Saudi-led coalition says the missile threat was traced to areas including Sanaa, Saada and Amran in Yemen and has vowed continued operations against Houthi missile capabilities and launch sites. Coalition spokesman Turki Al-Maliki confirmed the interception as cross-border attacks intensify, with Jazan and Najran also coming under reported missile and drone attacks. Three people were reportedly injured and material damage was reported following the attacks, adding to concerns over a widening security crisis along the kingdom’s southern border. WATCH

The Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government says it has destroyed 136 Houthi military targets as fighting intensifies across Yemen. Coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki said the operation targets Houthi personnel and military capabilities, with coalitioninc aircraft providing continuing air support to Yemeni government forces on the ground.
