As India celebrates its 75th Republic Day today, a grand display of military prowess, culture and women empowerment was seen in India’s Republic Day parade 2024. The Indian Air Force, in a mighty display of power and skill, executed gravity-defying maneuvers by Indian Air Force aircrafts in the Republic Day 2024 Flypast. The viewers were left speechless as IAF’s famed aircrafts like Apache, Sukhoi and Rafale pulled off dangerous stunts in the sky. In the ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the National Flag at Kartavya Path. The ceremony was followed by the National anthem and a 21 Gun salute. President Droupadi Murmu was given the national salute by the President's Bodyguard at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Sam Bahadur Teaser Launch: Sam Bahadur's teaser starring Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh released on October 13. It is a biopic of India’s First Field marshall and military might, Sam Manekshaw. The teaser launch event for the film was attended by its makers including director Meghna Gulzar, Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh and producer Ronnie Screwvala. Vicky Kaushal, finds himself to be fortunate as an actor to be able to play historic characters in movies like Raazi, Sardar Udham, and Sam Bahadur. He mentioned that director Meghna Gulzar lets an actor get into the soul of the character of her movie. Sanya Malhotra talked about how it was an easy yes for her to say to director Meghna for this role and how she always makes a conscious decision before saying yes to a movie. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully performed second orbit-raising maneuver (Earth-bound apogee firing). The spacecraft is now in 41603 km x 226 km orbit. The next firing is planned for tomorrow between 2 and 3 pm IST. Chandrayaan-3 was launched on GSLV Mark 3 (LVM 3) heavy-lift launch vehicle successfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota as per scheduled launch time. The journey from Earth to the moon for the spacecraft is estimated to take about a month and the landing is expected on August 23. Upon landing, it will operate for one lunar day, which is approximately 14 Earth days. One day on the Moon is equal to 14 days on Earth.Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar exploration mission, will make India the fourth country after US, China, and Russia, to land its spacecraft on the surface of the moon and demonstrate the country’s abilities for safe and soft landing on lunar surface. Chandrayaan-3 is the ISRO's follow-up attempt after the Chandrayaan-2 mission faced challenges during its soft landing on the lunar surface in 2019 and was eventually deemed to have failed its core mission objectives. Chandrayaan-3 will be inserted into the Lunar Transfer Trajectory after the orbit raising maneuvers. Covering a distance of over 300,000 km, it will reach the moon in the coming weeks. Scientific instruments onboard will study the Moon’s surface and enhance our knowledge. Chandrayaan-3 is equipped with a lander, a rover and a propulsion module. It weighs around 3,900 kilograms. Moon serves as a repository of the Earth’s past and a successful lunar mission by India will help enhance life on Earth while also enabling it explore the rest of the solar system and beyond.
