Rekha Singh, widow of Galwan hero Naik Deepak Singh who was killed in Galwan Valley clashes has now become an army officer. Lieutenant Rekha Singh was commissioned into the army recently. Her husband, Naik Deepak Singh was martyred in action while fighting Chinese soldiers on June 15, 2020 in the Galwan Vallery. The attack had claimed the lives of 20 soldiers in 2020.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who had lost their lives in the Pulwama attack on this day four years ago.
