At the 15th Jumbo Majumdar International Seminar, Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari said, “Balakot-like operations have shown that given the political will, aerospace power can be effectively carried out beyond enemy lines, in a no-war, no-peace scenario... Ongoing conflicts across the globe have brought out significant lessons for nations in general and air power in particular..."

An IAF MiG-21 crashed in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district during a routine training sortie on May 08. Three civilian people have been killed in the mishap while several others have been injured in the mishap. However, the pilot of the aircraft is safe and managed to eject from the fighter jet in time. The locals recounted the ‘blast-like’ moment when the aircraft crashed into a house. The Defence Experts have termed the incident ‘unfortunate’ and suspected material failure as the reason behind the mishap. However, an inquiry has been initiated into the matter to ascertain the cause of the accident.
